thanks for your quick reply and for releasing a new emz? Any other changes will be made? There are lots of small changes I've been working on since the last release. I don't update my blog very often, and some of the ideas won't make it into the final release, but it is worth checking every now and...

Re: New SUSPECT flag in emz?
I got this flag for a player on my server in emz it says: "suspectText:c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\doom 3\doom3.exe (irregular size 5840896)" suspectText?? Anyone has any information on this? It means that the file doom3.exe is a different size to that expected by EMZ. However, in this ...

i would like to point out that id did just get purchased by zenimax. they are the company that owns bethesda. so i'm not sure how ea has any clout in this game anymore. EA is still the publisher for Rage. Activision is still the publisher for Wolfenstein. Bethesda Softworks will publish Doom 4 as t...

hmmm im wondering if ID is going to do what soo many developers are doing with games now. in order to get that "extra detail" they rely on models. In other words every single building wall and structure was premade in a 3d program. This sucks for level designers because your limited in your content...

Win 7 is built on the Vista SP2 kernel. The rest is eye candy. Remember that when XP came out it took 2 service packs to get everything straight. Same thing happened in vista. It seems that Microsoft have learned there lesson and are keeping all the bugs out by keeping the vista kernel. I am proud ...

Nice work. One question; why are the specular maps different for each color variation? I would have expected the same specular for each one. One other point; your shaders have stuff like this... colored red 0.25 green 0.25 blue 1 ... the "colored" isn't needed because you're specifying rgb values di...

Well public is one thing, but once they throw it into a PAK, hmmmm, trying to get big C his payday. :) PuN It is just the standard d3refrag.pk4 file, it hasn't been repackaged in any way. All they've done is put it (with some others) in an installer to make it easier for people to set up. The readm...

I'd KILL for a beta of Win7. I got there, but TOO LATE. PuN Win7 looks pretty good from what I've seen of the beta; not had much time to really take a look because I don't want to rebuild my main installs with it until it is RTM, but I installed it on my laptop's spare drive (64-bit version) and it...

Very interesting. I was unaware of the smallish size cap before that happens. Hmmmmm. So who is the culprit regarding that last crash ? D3 or Vista ? PuN Its all D3. The size limit causes the data sent back from the server to overflow an internal buffer, with unpredicatable results. The UAC killing...
