Soldier Classes

Global Defence Force

Field OPS
Role: Fire Support.
Gear: N5 Machine Pistol, Ammo Packs.
Ability: Can call in the big guns (deployables like the field gun artillery, rocket artillery, strategic strike missile, and air-strike uplink); can designate enemy targets for destruction - as long as they’re within range.

Medic
Role: Support.
Gear: N80 Assault Rifle (configured for use with scope or grenade launcher attachment).
Ability: Can heal and revive team mates by dispensing health packs and using the defibrillator; can also construct supply stations.

Engineer
Role: Support, Defence.
Gear: N22 Shotgun, Land Mines, Proximity traps.
Ability: Can construct and repair vehicles and objective points, and can also deploy radar and defence turrets.

Soldier
Role: General Assault
Gear: N93 General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG), N72 LAW Rocket.
Ability: Can convert N93 and N72 to be mounted and made usable for others.

Ranger
Role: Stealth, Recon.
Gear: N38 Snipe Rifle, Smoke Grenades.
Ability: The GDF’s covert operatives can use their PDAs to hack and disable enemy deployables.

Strogg

Tank (tentative)
Role: General Assault.
Gear: Hyperblaster Fast-Firing Assault Weapon, Obliterator Bosonic Orb Weapon.
Ability: Can perform limited scouting and support functions via a remote-controlled drone.

Constructor
Role: Support, Defence.
Gear: Nail Gun, EMP Charge.
Ability: Can construct and repair vehicles and objective points; can deploy units such as the psi-blade and deploy antipersonnel and ant vehicle turrets. A tiny sentient A.I. Controlled repair drone repairs vehicles, but the two are symbiotically linked. If a constructor moves too far from its charge, the robot powers down.

Oppressor
Role: Fire Support.
Gear: Lightning Pistol.
Ability: Can Controll artillery deployables, such as the plasma mortar, rail howitzer, and orbital attacks, and can direct their fire against an adjacent enemy territory.

Meditek
Role: Support.
Gear: Unknown.
Ability: If no medic is nearby, defend fallen friends from the Strogg meditek, which can very quickly turn the tide of any battle. It can siphon stroyent from you and distribute it to other Strogg to resupply health and ammo. It can also drop stroyent packs in the field. The more devious application is that once the meditek gets its claws on and fallen GDF, it becomes a spawn host for the next Strogg waiting to come to life.

Infiltrator
Role: Stealth, Recon.
Gear: Rail Gun, Bioelectric Pinch Bomb.
Ability: After subduing a target, the infiltrator can attempt to “stodgily” the fallen GDF soldier. In that instance, he infiltrator transferes its essence into the captured body; from there it can sneak behind enemy lines. The only way to identify stroggified soldiers is to look for small details like slight cybernetics or battle wounds.

personally i think the two group pics would make an awesome wallpaper so here they are without the text to anyone who wants em :)
