It looks nice :) Try on from an old castle ( or gothic look to bring the old quake style back home ) :lol:

Thanks man, you can do it. Gave you all the info you need to import custom textures 8) :lol: Just gotta learn how to map.

hehe i know how 2 map but i don't do that anymore 8) ialways used qEradiant on quake 3 ;) and i dont have the sdk for q4 :cry: :wink:

You dont need it. Bring down your counsole and type "editor" without the " marks. A better way of doing it is to make a shortcut and editing the target line. If you want to know how to do that let me know.......hmmmm maybee another tutorial comming up :(

Do you get those glitches after you switch your textures? Now im demanding you use the tutorial and make a custom texture!!! Nice first room, keep it up!

lol i get those textures when i use normal ,

but i know a way around it :) just render realtime and then switch back

PROBLEM SOLVER :wink:

oh and yes sure i will try to make a custom texture but is that atitool only for ati vid cards? :lol:

It should work with both Nvidia and Ati however I havent tested it. You can be my test rabbit.

i followed all the steps... did exactly the same things... but my texture ends up as a tile in the editor :cry: and the image in the textures window 2

i even tried it with your own texture ( i tried a grassy on 1st)

but it doesnt work ...

( I use Adobe Photshop 7 and yes i can Create 24 bit Targa uncompressed or compressed )

If your getting the blocking texture then that tells me that the game knows it needs to use a custom texture there but it is not being lead in the right place.

I would double check your material file and also your folder structure.

done that still hasnt worked :wink: also some normal textures in quake 4 itself give me blocks.. the common textures work all fine

Also remember that quake 4 and doom 3 are very picky when it comes to folder paths. If you have a "Textures" folder instead of "textures" folder then its not gonna work etc......
