I mean, I am a gamer myself but what kind of an example is this, saying games are sports? Gaming doesn't contribute to physical health in any way as far as I know...

there are ways of incorporating sports into ur gaming to help become a better gamer. can't do it just by sitting around all day.

Why the hell is it ok to make a living being an actor, where you do and say what you're told, wear what you're dressed in, and in all ways just feign emotion while reading your lines, but not ok to make a living doing what-the-heck-ever you want to make it doing?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's contributing to society in any great way, but there are a LOT of people NOT contributing to society and making assloads of money not doing it.

Well yes true but it is unhealthy to do it for a living sitting at a pc for 15 hours or less for days. It is fun to making money off a video game. But if at same time wouldn't they consider a real career?

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, it's just as likely as becoming that actor I was talking about, or better yet there's the more deserving Rock Stars too.

All in all, I think it's great that it could exist, I'm not saying just any old schmoe with a keyboard and mouse should get to be "pro".

if i had to guess which games would be there i would say halo3, starcraft, and pgr4 (if they do racing that is). there may even be a wow setup since blizzard is starting a new pvp arena thing where you can create a lvl 70 character right off the bat (ala guild wars).
