Check this out!!

I updated my physx drivers, now that I have a vid card that has on board physics processing.

I also adjusted voltages here and there, tweaked this, adding cooling on that, and voila. 12.5k 3dmark06 scores !

My parents try to keep the heat off as much as possible and my room gets cold and you have to wear sweat shirtS. So what I do is open up crysis demo on max settings and jump to an area with maximum lag. WIthin 20 minutes my room is scorching hot. 8)

Well, after adjusting fan it's not going over 65c anymore. I just had to up it from 29% (stock) to 80%. It's a lil louder, but for performance like this, i wouldn't care if it sounded like a Harley.

I only get .670 fps on the CPU tests. lol

even the 5.0ghz quad cores get no more than 2-3 fps on the CPU tests though. :)

f0cus I'm going to be following your and Will's lead when my parts come in (shhh). On my older FX-60 w./ 7900GTX SLI, overclocked I pushed slightly over the 10K mark in 06. Sad, but even after a little more than a year. :(

I read an interesting write up in this months MaximumPC.

http://www.MaximumPC.com

The went over some solid Benchmarking tools, tests, and protocals. They also mentioned the 3DMark 05 was much better for testing your Video, vs. 3DMark 06 which is more geared towards CPU, and multiproc testing.

I'd hardly call 10k in 3dMark06 "sad"
