nvidia is having some problems

Post by supercat1 »

according to the inquirer things are not going well in old nvidia land. i personally have no info other than what is in the article(s) so i'm right where y'all are too. but this does not bode well for me when i need to get a new mobo as my current 680i is slowly killing itself.

Consoles will be the best way go in future IMO.

Hmmm, I don't believe everything I read, but this makes me want to find some more info, possibly failure rates, specific faults, etc. as the last rig I built was a 680i.

If they uber piss me off, I'll just go back to my VoodooII SLI. I say we start a rally cry to bring back 3DFX.

well, the article doesn't discuss the 680i at all, i'm just saying i'm having problems with mine. but the real issue is that anyone that bought a mid to low end 8x00 series card is going to have it crap out on them within a year probably. it just so happens that because laptops go through the power/heat cycles much faster and often they show the signs of failure first. just read some of the linked articles.
