Crossfire?

Ok my dad's mediacenter is coming along pretty well,
I still im quite dubbed about Crossfire. I put the 2 cards in but they didnt have the crossfire bridges with it. I rmemebered i had one laying around in my room so i put it between the 2 cards. Now i see there is space for another bridge.

Do i need the 2nd bridge to make crossfire work? and wth is crossfire and crossfireX?

no you dont have add another bridge the 2nd bridge is for a 3rd card.
