Camel, sab, and any1 else that has used this OS with gaming..

What are some of the problems you have been runing into?
win 7 x32 or x64?

and should i wait to purchase it untill sp1 is out or just use the rc7100 or w/e that1 is. ive got the newest beta copy. :D

Its great for gaming. But i'd wait a year or so until games start coming to win7 then u can really tell. great os

Just dual boot the RC then instead of buying it right now?
or will that not work now?

You can duel boot with the beta i would wait honestly

it is great so far. no reason to wait really. no driver issues. no performance issues. no compatibility issues that i have run into. but i also don't play old shitty games from id, so your mileage may vary.
better to be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and erase all doubt.

Windows 7 has some great enhancements on graphics and video playback. There is no reason to wait. I have installed x64 and x32 win 7 systems and i did not have to install one driver and never had a compatibility problem.

As for your video questions, this link tells you everything you need to know. Basically there are two layers of video now in win7

I have had no issues, but the laptop was very new, so no issues with drivers. If you are in doubt, as stated above, do a DB, and try it out. :)

Iv heard good things about it so far it has better compatiblity then vista with all the games.


Atm I am in the process in ordering a student copy of win 7 pro for 39.99

which is dirt cheep compared to 180 dollers US

I got win7 aswell for about 3 weeks now, had some beta builds, rtm is a lot better. Works smooth here.

I could get mine for 29.99 LOL

Dont have the money though. but this helped me alot. Ill try to run a 64bit os on a spare hd. and db it.. =]
