OK thanks out to Shedao, Sab, and Pandoz for helping out last night. GameServers.com finally drew their last straw last night, during a bloody fistfight. Their time is over. Have wasted my/our time, for the last time.

New server up, and not config'd yet. Shedao, check your inbox for the info.

Rock on Sab. Also, props out to Sab as well, who got left out from my above props post, for helping out on the CSS front.

The scrim server (new) is a 12 man private, for now. Shedao, and Sab, you should have the info you need to upload the files to it. For those who haven't been toiling over this, we have been having increasing issues, and mutliplied wasted time, compliments of GameServers.com, who seem either unwilling, or incompetent to handle our server needs. After some words with Shedao, it was obvious, the time wasting n00bs, wasted our last minute. The 33/66 server will be up untill the end of the month, and the 100 tick will remain private, and continue. I will talk to Shedao also, who had suggested he might also pick up a public server, to increase recruitment, name rep., etc.

Let's get in the new one, test it HARD, to make sure.

thats good, but what kind of choke and loss with what rates are you guys getting, thats whats really important?

And what host did yall go with?

and i get a 18-30 latency with avg gameplay choke of maybe 5 (need to check this with more people on i think)... bomb makes the choke jump up a bit but i see that on every server...

Pings seem very good across the board. What bearing does "choke" have on that ??

I havent pinged much better on any other server, all the servers we get be sure to put em in NY. hehe.

just to answer your question tho...

100 tickrate server = roughly 100 commands sent per second to server and to client...

choke of 5 would mean 5 commands couldn't be sent because the link was too busy between the server and client :P

or atleast thats how im understanding it...

in a roundabout way, choke can be thought of as packet loss (amount of packets lost during tx/rx routes)...
