q4 prob

Whenever i try to play q4 my ping is always 130 to 999. The ping constently chanes never 90-91 or so but 130 to 999 whitch makes it impossible to play. if i try to follow someone in spectate it takes 5 min to finally make it to follow someone. I have no clue what the problem is any suggestions?

Is it only doing this in Q4, and not any other games?

ping time is entirely network sided, so it doesn't matter what your system specs are, beyond having a working network interface card.

Add me on x-fire and I'll try to troubleshoot it with you. See if it's something we can fix with your settings, or if it's on your internet service providers side.

your rig might not be powerful enuf to run q4 or maybe ur gpu =)

I used to have that message too...It just came with the 1.3 version...Nothing to worry about...Quake used to record the settings that is in your console when you launch the game and sent them to ID...I really don't think your ping issue is related to that.You may try to make a traceroute.

This freeware can make traceroute for you...Just enter the IP you wanna trace and it shows you if you got some packet loss.
