Problem after installing DX10 on XP-Pro.. Need Help ASAP!

I installed that Direct X 10 thing and bout 2 hours after i defraged my pc i restarted it.

i came to a problem,
first: wouldnt detect any ide drives.
2nd: now im getting a disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter.

What do i do with this...-_-..........

next time don't install dx10 on xp
lol there is honestly no point. Nothing looks different at all. DX10 only mainly effects back end developing.
