AHH! The frustration!
So a couple days ago I started experiencing mad lag spikes in Quake and Doom. I have no idea what the issue is. I cleaned and scanned my comp up and down and I can't figure out whats causing this. I have Comcast and im on wireless but it was fine since this summer so I have no clue. Please help!

The FIRST step, ALWAYS, in trying to troubleshoot what you have, is to figure out WHERE the problem is happening. Wireless adds MORE things to consider, but regardless, everytime you are on a server, there are MANY hops between your rig, your provider, the backbone, and the host.
Open a command prompt (Start > Run > CMD) then type in:
tracert (your server IP, or address). Example:
tracert www.exg-clan.com
Watch the entire test. You should be able to clearly see WHERE the lagg is starting up. Your local provider, the backbone, the host ?
