Option 1:
I have an eMachine T6540 right now. It's a gaming version, so the onboard graphics is a little nicer and I have 1gb of ram.
Well, it's just not cutting it anymore.
Here's the current Specs that I'm looking to upgrade
- Processor:
AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual-Core 3800+ 2.0GHz
Vid Card:
ATI Radeon x200. I think it's 128m? (integrated)
With a PCI Express port available
Ram:
1gb DDR2 Expandable to 2gb v_v
Ram I can obviously find for myself, I just need 2 1gb sticks.
I don't know much about what my mobo can handle, and here's my specs on emachines offical site.

Where should I start looking for a new processor / new video card? I'm not looking at spending any much more then 250. If someone really believes I should look at something that expands out of that price range, by all means post it.
If you think I could use a new mobo, for long time expansion go ahead and suggest one if you feel to it. I'm going to need a new mobo in the next 2-3 years anyway. 2gb won't cut it for too long.
Option 2:
Buying a newer computer that I can revamp from there. I was looking at the:

I'm not looking at anything more then like 650 there.
Trying to keep things a little cheap here, so bear with me if you could.
