Going shopping!

Post by deathr0w »

I decided with my next check that I will be going shopping!

I need help though.

I want:

-New graphics card
-New mouse
-More RAM
-New headphones (So in vent I don't need my out bound to 4)
-Copy of Call Of Duty 5 = D

I don't know though if I need some new things so here are some of the specs I have that I can get to right now, thanks.

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4600+ (2 CPUs), ~2.4GHz

Memory: 1918MB RAM

Hard Drive: 313 GB

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE

Mouse: Razer Diamondback 3G

Headset: Rocketfish USB Gaming Headset

I'm bad when it comes to buying the "Right" gear so I need help.

cpu is ok. you def need another vid card.

ram is ok for xp, you'd only really need more if you were using vista, 'cause the OS itself is such a ram hog. (in other words, your performance on XP is as good at 2gb as 4gb would be in Vista)

What kind of mouse you hoping to get?

Then you need about twice as much ram for the same performance. If you have the 32bit version you'll probably only want to get one more gig though, not two more.

I wouldn't put too much money into it. It looks as though you are running the 939 pin 4600 with 512k l2 cache right? That would also mean that your still on DDR.

I would save up for a new motherboard, ram and proc combo.

If anything get a nice PCI-E vid card right now and save up for the other stuff.

I have no money and my mom as she is on the computer all the time won't pitch in for a new graphics card so I'm stuck with my peice of crap can't run a game graphics card. I really want a new one to lol. I miss my CoD days when I got banned from every server I played on for "Hacking".
