So after 100years i fnally decided to upgrade my hdd's. And since SSD's ( the really good ones ) aren't affordable imo , I decided with the current pricing on hdds to buy me a new pair. One system hdd and one storage hdd. Since my HDD has always felt like the bottleneck in my system, ill prolly notice some degree of difference between the transfer rates ;)

Don't they look pretty :)

Stay tuned for some HDtune benchmarks.

Enough space left for them in my antec 900:)

I always feel like a kid in a candy store when I get some new hardware :D[/img]

I dont have a raid controller. Im not thinking bout getting any hardware controller for it either ( my board doesnt have an onboard raid controller + i dont care cuz onboards are crap ), cuz i mirror all my stuff to my home server thats important.

My 80GB is my o/s +updates and office, and the storage is for games, movies, pictures and other datastuff ;)No raidshabang or anything, just 80gb for os, 500GB for storage etc. My old disk is there for movie editing files or something. Im gonna repartition that one soon.I made some HDTACH benches and HDTUNE benches ill post them up soon. Im happy about the 500GB disk but the 80GB could be better from the benches.

Stay tuned

p.s. camel

the reimaging thing didnt work on my WDS setup. Ive sent you an email.

raid, imo, is only has reliable as its controller. i have a servers that are 8 years old and are still on their original controllers and raid setup. yes, i am forced to run windows 2000 on them :(

Very nice, IMO, the A900 rules, and will do so, for quite some time.
