Dude! This is great man, this will allow for some really good doom videos to be made!!! I cant wait for this!

I have one question, in quake 4 you can while the demo is playing you can be in a "free look" type spectate mode and get all sorts of nice angles. Is that possible to incorporate in doom 3? Because that would just be incredible.

Great work so far man, im enjoying this big time.

Those are not available as a player demo recording. The free look is only available on server recorded demos. Otherwise, it's the POV of the person recording the demo, playing or spectating.

Ok, so its only avil when you yourself are running the server?

Yes, f0cus is correct.

I am going to start working on server-netdemos as soon as I have ironed out the small bugs in the client-netdemos.

It depends on what you mean. If you mean it only does that if you are on a listen server, then no, that's not what I meant.
The server auto-action in the server.cfg has to include the command to record demos.
Even if you were recording demos in your own listen server, your demo will only show your pov, not freelook.

I have no idea how the Q4 system does things, but my plan is to allow freelook during playback of any server recorded demo - including ad-hoc recordings on listen servers.
