• my bf2 is dead

ok not much to tell tryed opening bf2 screen gets black you hear ea games then it pops down on my desktop bar tryed ctrl alt del

to check if it sayd that it wasnt responding but it did looked al;l fine
frankly im tired of reinstalling it any thoughts

yes i have the newest drivers and DX9.0c(even paused f@h)
turned of firewall and im pretty confident that im free of spyware viruses and that crap

it does it for me when i connect through xfire...but i updated my video drivers and it works fine now try that bud

give xfire a few mins when it loads...i have it now too..it mainly the bf2 and xfire new pacths...

That's odd, well if you reinstalled it and same deal, can't be bf2 then. Anything overheating?

I wouldn't be suprised if it's microsoft tough.
They have kinda screwed windows with the latest updates. seems dx9 have a compatibility problem but it's not confirmed yet.
Also, the flash on the websites now it clickable which is pretty annoying.
As for xfire, i never use it to log on into the games cause it doesn't work properly for me.

I bet it's your CODECs.
I had same problem on fear.

Uninstall all your codecs.
Go download the "ace mega codec pack"
Set it to minimalist and then try bf2.

When you're playing videos then change the ace codecs pack settings to one of the other setting.
