Lets get a jam session going. I play guitar and trumpet (use to be a band geek)

I play some guitar (started a month ago, but can play all but hard solos...I learn fast), bass (same deal...1 month), most brass instruments, and drums (my major passion, played for 7 years now).
That is very similar to my drumset actually except I use a piccolo snare with kevlar head (like the really snappy sound instead of the rattle while using my marching snare under it haha). I have a session custom snare similar to yours (don't recall size) as well when I am playing non-metal songs because I don't mind a little rattle in the snare in other songs.
I also have most of those cymbals (minus the China cymbals) but all Sabian.
1 word: Nice
well, 2nd word: Fun.

Mainly Metal/Hard Rock/Classic Rock:
Rammstein
Dethklok (cartoon band from Metalocalypse...but is actually one of the best metal bands ever and the DethAlbum is the best rock CD I've ever listened to)
Disturbed
In Flames
AC/DC
Aerosmith
Black Sabbath
Rob Zombie
I could keep going, but I think you get the idea haha. Yourself?

I listen to a lost of metal... I keep hearing that Dethklok actually has an album... I'll need to go download it haha. I think one of the members is from Dying Fetus?
anyway...
Mors Principium Est
Dark Lunacy
Dimmu Borgir
In Flames
Dying Fetus
Old Man's Child
Nightwish...
Etc etc etc etc. Plus some softer stuff as well, but yea. Mainly metal.
Hell, I even listen to Pink and Flyleaf on occasion. Hehe.

Skip the Dethklok album ---- it's really really horrible. Instead, check out
Black Dahlia Murder - Nocturnal
Ram Zet - Intra
Naglfar - Sheol (you'll like this if you like the old man's child - in defiance of existence disc)
Scarve - Irradiant
Hypocrisy - Virus
Between the Buried & Me - Colors
Zonaria - Infamy and the Breed
So much other amazing music other than metal though

I really don't like that Black Dahlia album as much as I liked Unhallowed...
The Naglfar album is pretty good. I haven't listened to Hypocrisy since I saw them live, but I'll have to check out that album. I'm not a huge fan of BTBAM, but I haven't listened to their newest album.
The other bands I've probably heard, but just am not famliar with them by name, so I'll check them out when I have some spare time.
And yea, there is some other music I like that isn't metal, it's just my main preference.

note to self: ignore every comment that s3lf makes about music from now on. You just insulted on the funniest and most awesome albums...ever. It's science.
The drummer (Gene Hoglan) is from the following (or has at least done albums with them) Old Man's Child, Daemon, Strapping Young Lad, Dark Angel, and War God. He is one of the best drummers in metal, and his bass drum runs along with his insane speed/timing are ridiculous even for some of the best drummers being considered.
Dimmu Borgir is another one of my bands, but didn't list it because I've lost most interest after seeing them live at Ozzfest...not too impressed, but still some good songs.
