Unless you've been living under a rock, you know about the CarrierIQ rootkit that has been found on MORE phones than you would like to think. Massive props out to Trevor Eckhart for not only ROOTING out the rootkit, but also standing strong, because when he first reported it, he was greeted with a cease and desist demand, which you just gotta love. He didn't blink, but they retracted it, and here we are. Don't guess if your being tracked or not, know you are (or are not). My favorite is from Bit Defender .
You would have to live under a rock to miss the SOPA debate that is raging now. Also a MAJOR player in the game has been ERASED by the Feds. We've seen PRO and CON arguments, but it leaves one wondering is this about ripped movies, or much much more...........

The US government dropped a nuclear bomb on "cyberlocker" site Megaupload today, seizing its domain names, grabbing $50 million in assets, and getting New Zealand police to arrest four of the site's key employees, including enigmatic founder Kim Dotcom. In a 72-page indictment unsealed in a Virginia federal court, prosecutors charged that the site earned more than $175 million since its founding in 2005, most of it based on copyright infringement.
