i haven't played gears on pc, but unless it is significantly different than most games out there, the host does not actually have a zero ping. since most games require that a server be created and run on the host machine (whether you realize the server app is running or not) there is a level of lat...

I see but I still think that everyone should have some kind of ping instead of one person having zero. Just my thought.

Seeing as it is only 2v2, Why not have like referees or something hosting the games? Because we all know hosting team has the advantage. I wouldnt mind being host and just getting killed by what ever team I am on to spectate. That sounds fair to me.
