Truth is what everyone seeks is it not? Is what one believes the truth or thinks is truth. But rather opinion, till proved right. Though how do we know what is right or wrong? We feel and choose what we believe, but that is not always true. What we see, read and hear everyday is what we become from our own individual choice. There's people that know more than others, as stated before... exposed to certain subjects others don't know of yet. It's true I'd bleed if I cut myself. It's true that people in Africa and everywhere else are suffering from HIV. Is it true that in 2001 two planes struck the world trade center? Is it true that Leonardo da Vinci painted the Last Supper? Is it true that King Solomon evoked 72 Demons? Is it true that Jesus was crucified? Or is it true that after Michael casted out Lucifer and his following angels that they came down to earth to deceive us? A little bit of sarcasm on this one, I don't remember seeing the day I was born. It must not be true that I'm alive! When it comes to spiritual means, most people have to see it to believe it. Feel me?

From my beliefs, life is a gift to experience. A very special one at that. I believe in Jesus and I believe what he preached was truth. He is the perfect example of a beautiful human being. He was love, forgiveness and so much more... or well that's what history says lol. I believe spirits exist, or I could say it was some kind of quantum metaphysical anti-gravity lifting the blinds opener string above our heads as we sat down on the couch. Or that some invisible gas caused a very small area in that living room to be freezing cold. I know that you can evoke spirits, you can astral project yourself to another plane as well. You just have to experience it to know. But maybe I'm lying to myself or I'm delusional.

I feel I haven't written enough or expressed in detail enough of what I'm saying but I'll let it stand still on this unless otherwise.

Well. It's civil now again, and I feel comfortable putting my .02 out there.

One of my friends always said something that I think about to this day, and I don't know if he ripped it off of some book, or it was an original thought of his. He said "Perception is reality". Using the trade center as an example, as this debate has gone on multiple times on this forum: If you perceive that there is a government conspiracy, and Big Brother has been spending years setting this whole thing up, then that is your reality. If you perceive it to be true that it was a terrorist attack, then that is your reality. Unless we were directly invovled we really can't say what the reality is, can we? Some people believe there was no holocaust. It doesn't make it right, it just makes it their reality. I think this is also part of the reason people have felt threatened on this board and wanted to topic locked, because they percieved somebody's post as offensive and that was their reality. Are you guys feeling me on this? It doesn't make it the reality, it makes it their reality.

Now as far as religion goes. He he he. I have no problem with religion, as I think in a whole it's a good thing. My problem is sort of like the american individual's rights. You have the right to do(believe) whatever you want, until it infringes on others. I don't really care what anyone believes, as long as it doesnt' infringe on me. As an example, and part of what I think Smudge was trying to get across, is what I'm going to explain from personal experience next.

I used to work with this guy, and he was REALLY religious following the ways of the bible. (this is the point that I must explain that I believe there is a higher 'something' but I'm not going to call it god, and I also dont' capitalize it. I dont' believe in it therefore I see no reason to. I'll expand on this at the end of my post.) Anywho, he would constantly try to get me to talk about religion, and then twist the conversation around into how I need to find Jesus. (I capitalize Jesus becuase it's a person that I really think existed.) This really bothered me, because I don't have the same beliefs as he does, yet somehow I have to follow the path of his religion? And it wouldn't have bothered me if it came up twice a year, but we're talking three to four times a week this was the topic of conversation and after awhile I really just wanted to punch him in the face. We didn't debate religion, we didn't talk about religion, we constantly talked about how I need to find Jesus. Why do I have to find him? If he wanted me that badly, as is the case in any reality I've experienced.........If somebody wants me to find them, and I dont'.. Eventually they come to me. So if Jesus wants me to love him and accept him, perhaps he shouldn't be playing hide and go seek with me. (I just reread that and it made me giggle) To summarize, and what I think Smudge was trying to say when he said religious people spew off at the mouth is: I have no problem with religious people, but if you're going to try to force me to believe your 'way' is right, and think you're better than i am, you can go fly a kite far away from me becuase i dont' wanna f00kin hear it. If you are soooooo right, then you should be pointing and laughing at my becuase i'm on a highway to hell(no pun intended) and you're on the road to rightousness and paradise. On the other hand if you wanna have a little sit-down and throw some ideas around in a civil manner, sweet. Let's do it up.

Now on a similar note: I've had experiences with spirits (and I'm talking in the ghost kinda way) so I would say that I do believe in an afterlife. But maybe that's what I believe because that's the only popular idea. Maybe spirits are just another form of being on this planet and we just dont' konw enough about them yet. The whole reincarnation thing kind of confuses me, as much as it's a pretty decent idea, my question is: If we keep cycling around i.e. everytime we die we go into another vessel, and with the increase that there is in population.......where the hell are all these extra spirits coming from to keep filling more vessels? (vessels being bodies) Basically for this to work it would be 1 death = 1 new life, and that isn't what's happening which basically blows that idea out the window for me.

Damnit. I forgot my train of thought. I took a break to fold laundry and I need a minute to organize my thoughts here. (insert cigarette break here)

Ok got it. As far as the whole creation thing. Who knows? Again, perception is reality. I dont' really percieve much on this one, and I'm pretty open minded about the whole idea because I wasn't there..... therefore I don't know. That being said, here are a few of my thoughts on the matter.

Creationism: I have a hard time believing the whole seven days/adam and eve/garden of eden evil came from the rib of a man thing. In the science that is the reality of today that seems highly unlikely to me.

Big Boom/evolution: Well, it's scientifically proabably, which makes it slightly more believable to me. Part of the seeing is believing thing here I guess. Makes more sense to me that physical forces were at work here rather than any religious approach.

Another thing I've thought about is a band name. What if we really are an alien ant farm? I do believe that we're not the only intelligent beings out there. With all the solar systems, stars, planets and galaxies that exist, and we're the only intelligent beings that exist? Highly unlikely in my opinion. So maybe we are just an experiment of some other beings. I don't know.

I'll conlude this by saying that I don't konw much about any religion, I just know a little bit here and there, and base my opinions on what I know/have heard/ and the little that I've read.

Also I don't/didn't mean to offend anyone with anything I've said, it's just my opinion. If it offends you, I'm not sorry, becuase it wasn't meant to be offensive and you have simply percieved it to be offensive, and that is your own problem. He he.

Now just to clear up the record becuase I konw people get pretty crazy about the whole 'capitalizing god thing' I dont' do it because it's offensive, I do it becuase I dont' think that it deserves it. This is my opinion, that's all it is. This 'god' people speak of could actually be the Christian 'God', it could be Buddha, or it could just be our alien farmkeepers or any number of other percievable things, and in my honest opinion, I see no reason it should be capitalized considering the fact we don't know what 'god' is.

GG.

PS - Thanks for taking the time to read my mini novel.

I love fibonacci numbers. It's how nature dealt with uneven numbers in Nature.. The beautiful and wonderful spiral: order out of chaos.
