CAN ANYBODY HELP OUT I CAN STRAFE PRETTY GOOD BUT DOES ANY1 HAVE ANY TIPS LIKE WAT BUTTONS TO USE OR NEFIN LIKE THAT ? HELP WUD BE MUCH APPRECIATED THNX =)

I was under the impression the english language consisted of lower case letters as well....

enzigne, hehe, sometimes, ALL CAPITAL LETTERS makes people think you're screaming. :O Other times, like in MY CASE< MY CAT STEPS ON MY KEYBOARD AND I DONT SEE IT. Hehehe.

As far as strafing you are in luck. No one is better at talking about, doing, guiding, building maps around strafing, than our own Big Daddy Crush. He has some videos out at least to get you started. Also his badass Refrag map, is on our server as well. Rather than get into major detail, the basic idea is NOT to bunny hop, which newer players do. Bunny hopping costs you MORE rocket/splash damage, and does not get you any speed. Strafing, is a combination of running, jumping, AND turning side to side, AS you are doing this, which once mastered, WILL give you major speed boosts.

If you can imagine a large lazy S infront of you, as you are facing the strafing pads (ie, practice maps like Crush's), you almost want to recreate a slow turning S, as you strafe. This almost means, that you are either facing 45 degree's to the left on a hop, then 45 degree's to the right on the next one. Some people alternate every jump/hop, others every other.

Good tips, are to ask Crush, and other 1337 players for tips, AND, spectate them as they game. You will not be able to see the keys their using, but you can see the result.

Now this is NOT beginner movies, but LOOK, for the side to side turning, AS he's jumping. See how it almost simulates making a large, lazy S turn, WHILE going forward.

Thx on the props Pun, I luv concentrating on movment and getting it down hardcore. One of the things I really take pride in.

I read that a year ago man...i don't know what u talking about. Also, my one year old memory never recalled reading that when u press the W key, you have to aim 45 degreess up to go any faster.

I can imagine someone doing that, I remember a eu player called Dirt Devil who used to straffe like that, he got it naile in the end but it was pure funny to watch
