• which d3 version patch??

Hey i've reinstall doom to get back to my roots & i dont wanna make the mistake of installing the wrong patch.. i need the one where i'll have access to play where the most people are on. Main'ly thee exg members.

& another thing do i need ROE install as well to play on the exg severs?? because i lost my ROE disc..

as for patch version, i dont know. Jago if you are using the doom files that you downloaded from me. You should be good to go. if not, you will need the EMZ mod to get in the exg server.

I don't think anyone really uses a dual install that much anymore just get 1.3.1.

Hehe, don't listen to them Jago, :O.

Although 1.31 is on there now, never say never. Safest bet, which will allow you to play wherever you want, is to dual install. I have a tut up on the site, with the files. Just install D3, patch it to 1.3, then copy the entire d3 install and name it d3_copy or whatever, then patch THAT one to 1.31.

I guess I should have read this first

I just tried to patch up to 1.3.1... really annoying. Now when I initialize Doom it just crashes. Says wrong API version something or other. I guess I have to uninstall then reinstall everything? I backed up the doom3 folder, but installed over the original :\.... woops.

If you're getting DLL API errors after patching to 1.3.1 it is likely that you're trying to run the old EMZ with new D3 or you have some incorrect game??.pk4 files in your 'base' folder.
