In Holland (fuel for car) we pay for 1 liter (no gallon) 1. 55 Euro's

Thats about 2.20 $ a liter, X 3.75 in a gallon, so the costs are around 7.50 $ a Gallon

If you talk about gas in holland, we use it for warming up our house, the stove and hot water.

I pay around 175 Euro's a month, which is about 425 $

The gas station by my house has some of the lowest prices in the state, and it's at 3.51 right now for 87 octane. My car's manual says 93 only, so I pay 3.71. Doesn't hurt too bad though, because I barely go anywhere. I haven't filled up in 3 weeks now.

With Gustav coming in at the Gulf, I'm sure they will go up. Even though I've heard Gulf Coast oil makes up less than 10 percent of what we use (not sure about that number, but it's close), I'm sure gas prices will go up way more than 10 percent.
