There's a little more involved then just using fraps to record basic gameplay and then slapping some loud head-banging teen rock music over it when making a real frag movie.

For example....One of the greatest frag movies ever is called "Get Quaked 3" / 13 months of work, over 1500 demos, more then 1 TB of HD space used. Hundreds of hours of editing. The movie is almost 400mb and is 20 minutes long. It's more than well worth the download.

yea no doubt those frag movies are good.....but you gotta be a f*****g loser to spend 13 months making a god damn video game movie....who the f**k has that kindah time...or even find the s**t that interesting...

the movie i made i used 2 demos from 2 games i played like 5 mins before...and finished the vid in like 30 minz.......f**k working on that s**t for months....reality is they arent even that interesting either....after u watch them 2 time...they are boring.

I like em short and sweet too dude. If I wanted to watch the Quake-3 Anthology-Extended-Edition with the 12 Hours of bonus footage directed by Peter Jackson I'd buy the friggin game instead of watching someone else play it for that long.

GQ3 was a community project, more than one person actually did the editing for GQ3, and a much bigger amount sent in demos. The game has been around for nearly 6 years, so the content was obviously the best.

Well Matt, congratulations, and honestly, YOU are the one who spent the time, HAD the vision, and MADE them. NO one can beat on you for that. Sure their may be more polished, 13 monthers out there, but, as others have posted, unless you got a community effort going, that's just too much time. I think that what Matt does, in the SHORT time that he does, is nothing less than amazing. I would like to make ONE freeking video for all I care, doesn't have to be the bottom 100 to make me happy. To rebut a poster above, where he said he was suprised, Matt, I'm not. GJ, and look forward to having you help me out, as I'm quite the vid n00b.

That was the funniest movie I have seen in a long time. You should have done a song like

"I'm too Sexy" and have all the models do it.. LOL. great movie dude!
