Logitech G15 Keyboard

Post by Contro »

I'm not technical, but it's backlit, has 2 USB ports, 18 customizable "G" keys (I don't know what G stands for (probably game)), and an LCD screen that displays things like time and CPU usage. It's supposed to show the amount of ammo you have in a game, but I haven't set that up yet.

Tech - 7 of 10
Ease of Use - 3 of 10
Coolness - 7 of 10

its pretty kewl
i usually find that the LCD is most useful for showing people who are talking in teamspeak/vent when gaming, and the time when not

I gave it a3 on ease of use because I'm too damn lazy to figure out how to bind all those different buttons.

just make a macro and press the revevant buttons

i mainly use them to quickly launch programs i use, ingame their pretty useless, a small bit of lagg can f*ck up a macro

Christmas. 8)

I also noticed that you can view X-Fire messages on it. Sweetness.

(This message took me three minutes to type, as I am currently learning Dvorak. Interested? Contact me.)

tbh i ain't found the G-Keys to be very useful

when I'm using the PC normally their mapped to launch programs, as the G15 doesn't have stuff like email, web and calculator keys on it like most other keyboards

the problem with macros is if they aren't programmed into the game itself then you are susceptible to them buggering up if you lag a little bit

Oh and maybe, is it possible

like set keys to the G'keys

like home, del, pagedown, pageup and stuff!

then you can bind these keys ingame and you can use them ;)
