Ive started seeing the 8600GT for sale at different providers, and it has finally come to newegg. Expect them to be included in the brows tool within the next week or so. Heres the first one out from XFX
At $170, a higher core clock and memory clock about the same I see no reason why this is not a bad deal! The 256 memory is a bit of a bummer though, and it expected to have less then the GTS's 96 Stream Processors but dont expect this thing to be slow.

For the money it probably would be better to get 2 of these in SLI vs a 8800GTS.

Wow, that's an insane price. I'll have to put in a phone call to MaxPC, and see what they think. :)

Since D3 is a big game here the reading of the above article may want to be read... Take a look at the 1900Pro's numbers vs the 8600... Interesting to say the least.
