The ergonomics are good, they're better than my G5, and mx518 (which are pretty much identical in your hands, minus the G5's weight system), but it's still shite compared to my Intellimouse 3.0
Money is essentially no object when it comes to my gaming setup. Financially, it's something that I can accept and afford at any time. There are a LOT of more expensive mice out there, many of which I've either owned or at least used a bit.
Nothing can compete with this IE 3.0 that I've seen yet.
The death adder was nice, and I'm RMA'ing it for a replacement, not a refund, just to give it another chance.
After the new one gets here, which will be about 14 days or so, I'll write a review to let you guys know if it's redeemed itself or not.
As it stands right now though, it's just nowhere near worth the hype it's received.
All I can guess is that these people saw something high dollar from a big gamer brand and assumed it was the bees knees. The people with the rave reviews must have either owned the earlier Razers, such as the Copperhead and Diamondback, or they were Logi users, coming from the MX5xx series or Gx series'.
Because I can't imagine anyone coming from an IE 3.0 considering it an upgrade.
The liftoff tracking on the Death Adder is coming in at very nearly a full half inch! That might not sound like much, but trust me, it's more than whatever mouse you're using.
I'll keep you guys posted.
