Got the predicted prices & done some rough converting,

7900GTX $653 (£376/ €549)
7900GT: $299 (£225/ €329)

if the prices remain the same it's not gonna be that much more expensive than the 7800 cards as i first thought

Dude these cards are blazing fast. Check the review at HardOCP.com. I am curious now as to the price for a 7800GT\

Oh yeah, the GT is on par with the 78GTX, and only costs $299.

newegg is already selling them and of course they are over priced...

Wait 1 month before buying one. the prices will drop 100.00

The architecture is much better this time around and suprisingly about 5* cooler than the NV70 on average. The NV71 has a 90nm chip process and use less power. I wouldn't say it's a better card, I would call it more efficient though. And the $100 price difference from the 7800GTX 256/512 means you will probably save on electrical bills if you are a hard core every day gamer. Although you may have to play alot to save. :?
