thankyou so much dark, in the beginning i thing me and you had something between us, but now, i respect you more than most people thanks for helping me out, but i do have another question, are there any cheap AMD processers and motherboards and if you would suggest some becuase as you can tell im kinda running blind here so i dont know what i really need in a mother board or a processer but all i know is i need to buy this stuff with my own money, cause my parents already bought me other things, so i was wondering if there was anything reasonably priced and when i say that it means like less than what you would concider reasonably priced, cause remember im 14 i have probibly close to 300-400 bucks of my own and i might be able to scam like 50-100 off my parents, do you know of any combination of processer and mother board that would be in that price range? and do you know of some cheap ram cause i need some, and the important part, i think i need a new hard drive cause the one i have prolly is too shitty...i appreciate all of your help and respect you greatly, thank you,

Hmmmm, kinda a tight budget here. If you want MY recommendation on a $500.00 MB/Proc, then I'd have to say:
Asus A8N SLI for $158.00.

Then with the remaining money, you could spring for a AMD 4000+ ClawHammer, for $334.00.
Understanding the budget is what it is. I can't overstress the NEED for a solid motherboard, not an el cheapo. Anything you upgrade gets plugged into it, so you have to start smart. The 4000+ is a very good deal for that, and runs at 2.4. No slouch.

Punisher comes through again with the sweet deals.... However... You wont have enough for 1 gb of memory...
So I recommend buying:
Asus A8N SLI for $158.00 - Newegg.com
CORSAIR XMS 1GB (2 x 512MB) for $99.00 - newegg.com
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Dual Core for $296.00- newegg.com
Total = $553.00
Remember to get a good power supply......
