I had posted a bio years ago but the link to the pictures was gone so I edited it and here is a new one! I will add more pictures later!
Well just the basics to start! My name is Spencer , AKA “Sancho”. I am 38 Years old! I am from The great state of Ohio (Go Bucks!) I have been married 11 years and have a 1 beautiful daughter!
My history of video games starts with the game Pong!! I then graduated to the ATARI console playing Space invaders, Asteroids, Tank, etc. I then moved on to an Intellivision, NES, and then to a Playstation one.
I enlisted in the USAF and spent 4 years from 89’ to 93’ as a Jet Engine Mechanic. I didn’t get a whole lot of time to game in the Military! When I was honorably discharged, I moved back to Ohio. I bought a house and started working for a company called Inland Fisher Guide (GM parts supplier). That company has changed names like four times! It is now called Delphi Thermal products! I have been there almost 16 years. I am the equivalent of an Industrial Engineer. I am also an Executive Board member for our local UNION! I spent almost 5 years functioning as a Union official full time. In between that time I retired my PSone and bought a Playstation 2 and actually still have it, although my daughter is the only one who plays it now! She wants a Wii for Christmas!
I started PC gaming on a POS computer. I started out playing a game called GUN. After completing that game I was at a friend’s house and his son had a copy of Doom3! I borrowed it and played like 2 levels and decided to try out multiplayer! That was the damnation of my spare time! (not like you all would know what I am talking about lol) I then up graded to a Dell rig with and of course it got modified with a new Video card, Power supply ETC. I now game on a custom built rig. I will post some pictures of it later!
I have many games in my arsenal now!! Doom3, Quake4, ETQW, BF2, 2142, L4D, L4D2, CS:S, Day of Defeat Source, Team Fortress II, STALKER, CoD4, CoDW@W, Dead Space. I have a few more but you get the picture!!!
I met a group of guys in Doom3 and formed a clan called {OCW} which stood for Open a Can of Whoopass!! We had a ton of fun!! I am sure some of you remember that tag floating around in D3!! That clan dissipated and I was without a team!
I hooked up with the guys from cd\ and formed a team called c: (I am sure most of you remember that) It was like a “farm” team to sculpt members for application to cd\. We ran c: for a while and had great success, until all the members either became full cd\ or lost interest. It really was a great program.
I became a full cd\ member around Nov. 1 2006. I scored a ton of frags with that tag and had some good times and met a ton of great people!! Unfortunately (recently, almost the same time in 2009) I was cut from cd\. It really was a disappointment for me, but hey, it is what it is!! I have been asked repeatedly “What Happened?” Let’s just say “all things happen for a reason”!
I also play drums in a band called “3PLAY”! I have been playing professionally since 1995. (just so you know, playing professionally means “getting paid”) I started playing on an old ass kit made by Slingerland. I bought an electric kit (Roland TD-7K) in 96’ and played them forever!!! I then bought another Roland set called the TD-10 V Drum kit! I consolidated both kits and had one HUGE electric kit!
I just bought another kit this week!! I bought a 5 piece Pearl kit (acoustic) and will be playing them at practice for the first time today! I will add pictures of it later when I get time!
