Was talkin on msn and this pops up. Do you think I may have a security breach?





Right before that I download skype and about 10 songs from these links.

as we speek I am running a full scan with super antispyware and AVG after that.

Note Super anti spyware gets rid of general viruses as well.

the virus sits in your c:\program files\HD Tune folder. The reason it sits there is because you probably googled HD Tune and downloaded off just any ole site. And viola, virus attached. Uninstall HD Tune then go to its Program Files folder and delete the folder AFTER you uninstall. Reboot and you should be good. In the interim, you may want to delete all cookies, history, everything in IE. In IE justgo to tools>Internet Options>Hit the Delete button in the middle of the window and check all the check boxes and hit delete in next window.

After all is said and done, update your antivirus and run a deep scan. You should be good after that depending how deep the virus may be.

Updated: Does HD Tune run in the system tray, if so, thats why the virus comes up at certain times probably. You do the right things open the right programs it says hi.

You can actually blame pun for this. I clicked on the HD tune like he had on the portal! Yes I did uninstall it and removed it from Program files. I did that right after i posted this thread as for the scan I will run em now and check em after school.

Well i wouldnt go pointing fingers, ultimately you pressed the clicker. but if you got it from the portal i will download it and see if its infected, if not, stop watching porn, stop downloading torrents<coughs>, etc. The only way to keep your computer clean is to either know everything that your doing on it, or dont download stuff that you know might not be clean. I dont care where a file comes from, i dont trust any files. I'm like the army, guilty until proven innocent.
