No worries Enzigne. It takes a bit to get used to the Forums.
As far as your sig, it looks like the image link is broken, as it's not loading. Then if you want to add a small XFire stat or something else you'll have to login, and go to your UserCP link, up top. In the signature field, copy the text from whatever site you are using, like Xfire, etc, then paste it in, below your sig.

you start a dedicated, in your doom folder there should be a doomded click taht and look up tuts on google, its perty easy, I got my own i through up for exg once in a while, (laggs a bit...a bit )enzigne wrote:hey punisher need a little help you kno servers wat u create not rent how do u keep them on without being on the server urself?
but yah fairly simple, but you can only have certain maps and stuff otherwise clients can not connect, unless you have download sources.
I used this when first starting

Running an instance of the dedicated is the best way to go. You can always connect through your LAN connect if you want to play. Be very careful, if you have ANY custom maps in your Base folder, clients will have to have them all in order to join. If not then you need to work on a redirect for them. Also, try starting the dedicated executable, and then start your game up normally also, and see if the server shows up online. It may not, if it's being blocked by your firewall. If it shows up great, if not, you will have to Forward the ports the game uses through the firewall.
