i don't really ever max jago. i havn't had a spotter since like feb/march so i only do dumbbells and i am only really trying to maintain what i have, not get bigger. our damn rec only goes up to 100lb dbs so i'll do 3 sets of 12 on the incline with those, then maybe 3 sets of 10 on flat with 100s. that's about the only bench thing i do right now. i tried incline bench for the first time in around 4 months wednesday and i got 245 7 times on my last set, which is fairly decent for us normal sized people
also, i've never tried to bench over 315.. and i'm not sure if i'd be able to do much more than that
