If i were you, i'd make these few changes:

s939 is becoming outdated (not anytime soon, but it will before AM2). Don't make the mistake i did; when i built mine 2 years go, i chose 754 when i could have (and should have) gone 939. I regret it.

For the CPU, i'd get the X2 4200+ on AM2; it hink the extra bucks is worth the extra multiplier.

For the HDD, you should be looking at a SATA2 3.0Gb/s HDD. There's a Seagate 320GB SATA2 for 99 bucks on newegg; i have it and love it.

And the PSU: Antec has a good name, but i hear their capacitators aren't that good...

Anyway, that's just my two-cents; have fun with ur build; it's always a blast :)

Ultra X-Finity PSU's FTW!!!

HG is right though. Sata II with NCQ and Perpendicular recording owns big time. I am about to get two of those and put them in a uber Raid 0 config. If I am correct they should eat raptors for breakfast MMMMMmm good.

Yeah two of those babies are better than a raptor.. but two raptors.. hehe

I read on Overclock.net one guy has this uber PC:

X6800 OCed to.. i forget like 3.8 or 3.9, 2 7950GX2s and 4 Cheetahs in Quad Raid (Cheetah = 15,000RPM HDD). Imagine the load times he gets... :D

Thats crazy though man. Scisi is teh devil. I was goign to go the cheetah route but nah. Im just going perpendicular and seagate is king.

Imagine the heat from those 4 cheetahs and also the power consumption of that machine, you would need that 1000w psu from enermax with 4 12v rails ect. Just to run that stuff correctly.
