wrath of god wrote:rofl I cant believe that this subject has received this much attention. But I have to admit that I voted for soda. I should point out that many in my family call it pop. Maybe i'll close the gap and start calling it soda pop. I suppose that what i'm trying to convey is " can't we all just get along " ?

Hahaha When I lived in wisonsin, it was pop. When I moved to Florida it was Soda. In cali most of the time it was Soda, but others it was a 40 haha. Plus the countless other states ive been too....

I would actually like to say that maybee the ref to the actuall object might be reflected by the general avg IQ in that area...

Does IQ have a key factor in determinating how you refer to a carbinated drink?

I must admit though. Around here in the south, most people call it all coke.

setting, McDonalds drive thru...

"Hi, I'd like a #4 with a Coke please."
"yes sir, what kind?"
"........"
"....a number 4?"
"what would you like to drink?"
"........."
"what kind of coke would you like sir? We have sprite, Dr.Pepper, ..."
lol
