If you want to prove who is best that is.

If you want to play for fun then keep playing doom3.

I just feel competitive games are more rewarding. Quake4 has a lot of competition. I know for a fact a lot of you would be challenged while trying to get good at it. I'm sure frag and sukki could enlighten you just how hard it can be. They've been playing a lot lately.

hell, i've been playing quake 4 way more than doom 3. I'll play anyone in quake 4 if they want, albeit I am west and i demand better than the 135 ping i usually play with in doom. quake is a little more fun when the guns you are tracking perfectly over your enemy actually hit them instead of doing nothing (like the lg). this all of course depends on ping.

Yeah judge q4 is really fun me and frag are trying to hit these LANS this year. putting mad hours into q4 16+ hours or more in tourney.

jh would beat renth at the moment. renth is pretty rusty. super nice guy, but i have to play pretty solid to come out beating jh. Renth went down 13-4. so practice up i wanna see some gg's!

ANYHOW! Just wanted to also say byebye's to all that I've played etc with. Time to pack in the gaming gear. It's been a blast, made some friends, and avoided others

. Some wicked games, and some awesome learning.

judge (amazing player, when ROE came out he was so much better than me right off the bat, he learns so much faster but I don't think he will beat me now even though he is a better gamer)

kev (BEST PLAYER NOW - i don't think gopher could take him, but his nerves are not tested in big LAN event)

rukus (how do you move like that?)
bulletone (did not seem outstanding at Quakecon after much hype)
noface (played a few times, awsome player, never knew he played much)

mikE_ (really good RL)
perfection
bodies (one of the most overrated players, fustrates so easily)
clamp (one of the best period)
evildoer (only player i have played and never beat i think, sick ass player, beat clamp at Quakecon)
godmode (legend)
sc (got really good)
ninjatalksho (me - easy bracket at Quakecon blah blah - if that was the case, not everyone I beat had an easy bracket getting to me - calim to fame, week before Quakecon owning thump4 15+ - 0 on FC and never beating him again)

shooter (improved a lot as well)

The thing is, many of the top 20 Winter CPL would still be the best today but they stopped playing, they learned the game sooooo quickly compared to any of us now, which is the real indicator to a players skill, not how well you can polish your skills over 2 years of repition, like myself. I will never be in that catagory, well maybe if we get Doom 4
